SECTION 03

Disclosure of Information

BCR does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

Lending & Capital Partners.  With your explicit consent, we may share your business and financial profile with CDFIs, community banks, SBA lenders, or other capital sources as part of our loan-readiness referral process.

Bar Associations & Legal Organizations.  Aggregated, non-identifying data may be shared with state and local bar associations to support advocacy efforts around legal desert reduction and attorney wellness.

Funders & Grant-Makers.  Anonymized program outcome data may be shared with foundation funders, government agencies, or grant administrators to satisfy reporting obligations. Individual data is never disclosed without consent.

Service Providers.  We may share information with vetted technology vendors, accountants, or program administrators who support BCR operations under strict confidentiality agreements.

Legal Requirements.  We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.

SECTION 04

Data Retention

BCR retains personal and organizational information for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain program records, and fulfill legal, regulatory, and grant-reporting obligations. Non-profit and financial records may be retained for a minimum of seven (7) years in accordance with IRS and applicable state requirements.

Upon conclusion of a participant’s engagement with BCR programs, we retain only the minimum information necessary for outcome tracking and impact reporting. All other personal data is securely deleted or anonymized upon request, subject to applicable legal holds.

SECTION 05

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies for basic functionality and anonymized analytics. We use this data solely to improve the user experience and understand how Legal Entrepreneurs and community members engage with our resources — not for advertising or commercial profiling.

You may disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies may limit certain website features but will not affect your access to BCR programs or services.

SECTION 06

Data Security

BCR implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal and financial information of Legal Entrepreneurs and program participants. These measures include encrypted data transmission, access controls, and periodic security reviews appropriate to a non-profit organization of our size and scope.

Given the sensitive nature of financial and professional information shared in our loan-readiness programs, we take data protection seriously and apply heightened care to financial records, creditworthiness assessments, and lender referral documentation. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
